Display and Announcement Station
Announcement Stations are placed at pick-up points along the route
the service operates. When the passenger pushes the button, they receive
a voice announcement and a visual display letting them know when the
next shuttle is due.
- The audio response can be programmed in multiple languages,
and can be configured to provide additional services.
- The station consists of a wireless display and announcement
device mounted to a pole powered by a solar unit.
Shuttle Global Positioning Device
A wireless global positioning (GPS) device mounted in the vehicles transmits
information about the position, speed, and direction of the shuttle
to the centralized processing center. The GPS device
can be configured with visual display and input/output components.
Companies using Next-Shuttle can instantly access their data live from
any computer (PC, Laptop or Personal Digital Assistant - PDA) via the
Internet through a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
- Enables 24 hour access controlled through a highly sophisticated
security system.
- Allows information access from any office, offsite or mobile
location.
- Customized and configured by location and to specific corporate
requirements.
BTI’s Central Processing Center
The wireless transmission and data processing is controlled by a highly
secure, sophisticated, fault tolerant central processing center maintained
by Bridge Technology’s staff 24 hours a day,
7 days a week.
Next-Shuttle, developed by Bridge Technology, is very simple to use.
It runs as an application on the user’s computer with the data
updated in real time via the Internet.
- Auto upgrades: each time the user logs into the system it checks for
new versions and upgrades automatically.
- Point and click: like all Microsoft Windows based programs, Next-Shuttle’s
user interface is very familiar. Anybody that uses Word can run it.
- All support and infrastructure is provided by Bridge Technology. There
is no need for in-house technical personnel or support staff.
